Dear Wildcat Families,
Hello and thank you all for an excellent start to our season and the first three games. In our Wildcat family we have high expectations for all of our athletes, families, and volunteers. First and foremost we teach life skills to our football players and cheerleaders alongside the teaching of the sport and skills. With that said, I need to emphasize the importance of all our families to read and understanding the Parent Code of Conduct, which is outlined in the 2016 TYFSF Rule Book on pages 8 & 9. Your team’s Business Manager should have met with all parents at the beginning of the season to go over your rights and responsibilities of a Wildcat participant. Thank you to those of you that are helping out, volunteering, encouraging your athlete and coaches, and maintaining respectful sportsmanship at practices and on game day. I understand that emotions can run high at practices and games, but it is your responsibility to keep this activity in perspective and remember that this is YOUTH SPORTS. Behaviors that will not be tolerated in the Wildcat association are: cussing and using profanity directed at players and/or coaches at practices, games, grandstands, and on the sidelines of auxiliary fields, spreading rumors or attempting to create a negative culture among parents, loudly communicating a disdain or disrespect for coaches or other volunteers, and fighting or threatening anyone. A failure to follow the PCC or exhibiting aforementioned behaviors could result in warnings, removal from the field or facility, and in extreme cases be put in “bad standing”(being banned) with either the Wildcats or TYFSF. It is all of our responsibilities to exhibit the highest degree of class and represent the Wildcats family in a positive way! And again, a big thanks to the majority that display and maintain our high standards.
If you need to share any concern with me, please email me at the firstname.lastname@example.org email address. Last, if you feel something needs to change or things are not being accomplished in a manner that pleases you, please feel free to join our governing Board of Directors, and/or sign up as a coach next season! This is an organization of volunteers, so let’s please helpful and respectful.
Thanks Wildcat families,
