Here are a list of questions frequently asked and policies that may help you.
When do you practice?
We will practice Monday-Friday from 6-8pm at Jesse Owens Park off Sarnoff starting the week of August 10th. In September, the teams will practice 3 days a week at Jesse Owens Park. The three days will be decided by the coaching staff and communicated to the team and parents prior to September.
When do games start normally?
Games are currently scheduled to start on September 5, 2020..
Why isn’t there a coach listed for my son/daughter’s age group?
Our coaches are all volunteers who apply and meet the a series of requirements before placement as a coach. As soon as we know a coach has approved and met all requirements their will be updated on the page for each Section Cheer and Football.
If you are interested in volunteering your time as a coach, please email our General Manager for more information.
Conditioning: Wildcats Youth Football offers Conditioning leading into the new season. Preseason conditioning is not required but is recommended. There will be conditioning dates for the 2020 season beginning in July; check calendar for dates and time. Many local high school football programs also offer preseason football camps for younger participants. Participating in Conditioning does not guarantee you a placement on a team. Registration should be completed as soon as possible to better guarantee placement.
Registration: We offer multiple Registrations for the upcoming season. It is important to register as quickly as possible. Teams and Coaches begin to form as soon as registrations begin. Placements may be adjusted as players begin to register and coaches begin to volunteer. We are a volunteer organization. We do our best to create balanced teams and take in as many Players as possible. Our best advice to is to register, and register early. Your Registration is not complete until Player Fees are turned into the Treasurer. Your player will not be considered for a team until that step is completed. We cannot “hold” a spot with a rising number of interested players every year.
Communication: WCYF has many forms of communication. It is important for Wildcats to communicate to you, but, also, that registered players parents check for the communication.
- Email: We send emails to the registered players and you can control this subscription with the unsubscribe at the bottom.
- Facebook: We have a facebook page to check for most current updates. We, also, push the facebook feed to our website front page. (You can view a facebook page without being a member just be visiting this link.)

- Website: Our website is full of forms, information and a calendar. The calendar has an rss feed which you can load to your calendar for automatic feed.
