Here are a list of questions frequently asked and policies that may help you.
When do you practice?
We will practice Mon-Fri from 6-815PM at Jesse Owens Park off Sarnoff starting the last week of July through the end of August for conditioning. In September, the teams will practice 3 days a week at the same time and place. The three days will be decided by the coaching staff and communicated to the team and parents prior to September.
When do games start normally?
Games start the weekend of Labor Day in 2016.
Why isn’t there a coach listed for my son/daughter’s age group?
Our coaches choose to volunteer, apply and meet the requirements of a process before placement as a coach. As soon as we know a coach has joined the final roster of coaches, we post the information on the Coaches page for each Section Cheer and Football.
Conditioning: Wildcats Youth Football offers Conditioning leading into the new season. This conditioning is offered to many of the local Football organizations. Participating in Conditioning does not guarantee you a placement on a team. Registration should be completed as soon as possible to better guarantee placement.
Registration: We offer multiple Registrations for the incoming season. It is important to register as quickly as possible. Teams and Coaches begin to formulate as soon as registrations begin. Many placements are adjusted as players begin to register and coaches begin to volunteer. We are a volunteer organization. We do our best to create balanced teams and take in as many Players as possible. Our best advice to is to register and register early. Your Registration is not complete until Player Fees are turned into the Treasurer. Your player will not be considered for a team until that step is completed. We cannot “hold” a spot with a rising number of interested players every year.
Communication: WCYF has many forms of communication. It is important for Wildcats to communicate to you, but, also, that registered players parents check for the communication.
- Email: We send emails to the registered players and you can control this subscription with the unsubscribe at the bottom.
- Facebook: We have a facebook page to check for most current updates. We, also, push the facebook feed to our website front page. (You can view a facebook page without being a member just be visiting this link.)
- Twitter: We also offer communication through twitter
- Website: Our website is full of forms, information and a calendar. The calendar has an rss feed which you can load to your calendar for automatic feed.
- Remind Text Alerts. Please visit Contact Page for Setup for Registered members only.
We do our best to communicate directly with you. Thank you for helping use keep organized by viewing these sources.
Contact: We are a volunteer run organization. We do our best to respond to your contact. The best and most reliable contact is through our contact form on the website. If you do not hear back from someone about your concerns within 3 business days, please try to contact again. We do our best to stay on top of correspondence, but during the busy time of the season our volunteer hours are stretched and we may be delayed.
